Static analysis

The Analysis tab lists Static Analysis checks. Run All runs every check; the play button on a check (Run this check) runs just that one. A finding shows under its check with the net or part it concerns:

CheckFindsSeverity
Floating InputsInput pins not connected to any neterror
Invalid Pin ReferenceA net referencing a pin that does not exist on the parterror
Short CircuitA net connecting a power output straight to grounderror
Voltage CompatibilityAn output voltage above a connected input's maximumerror
Decoupling CapacitorsPower pins without a bulk capacitor on their netwarning
I²C Pull-upsI2C nets missing their pull-up resistorswarning

The simulation catches what static checks cannot, such as a part driven past its rating, see Simulation.
